Fujisato Genki juku

The NPO Fujisato Genki Juku lives in Fujisato Town, which is the entrance to the Shirakami-Sanchi from the Akita Prefecture side, and loves the town. In order to revitalize the town, they are mainly working to preserve the precious rice terraces and fireflies, and to start a business selling folk crafts made by experienced craftsmen living in the town using materials from the town, and are working hard to get many of the townspeople involved.

In addition to the beech forests and natural Akita cedars of the Shirakami Mountains, there is also clean air, clean water, terraced rice fields that look like the sky, Genji fireflies flying around, starry skies, the chirping of wild birds, and clear mountain streams. Come and see for yourself and experience it with all five senses.

Aiming to create a town
where people can live
brightly and energetically
